Lovely hotel in a great location at Leyburn.The staff were very friendly and helpful.Our room was spacious, warm and very clean with a lovely shower.Breakfast was very good and plentiful.Overall, we couldn’t fault this hotel.- David Budd
My Wife and I and our 2 small dogs stayed for 3 nights recently at The Golden Lion in Leyburn. We were very impressed by the warm hospitality and spacious clean and comfortable room. The Breakfasts were almost too nice. I never normally eat breakfast but they were so tasty and a great start to our day.The pub itself was very good with a great selection of drinks including my personal favourite Semerwater. The food was outstanding. I can highly recommend the steak pie. I dont think I've ever had one so nice.The villiage itself has a great selection of ameneties and we had everything we could have wanted on our doorstep.The local walks were great including Leyburn Shawl.Overall I cant recommend Leyburn and The Golden Lion enough. We had a fantastic stay and would have no hesitation booking again. - Mike H
My wife and I stayed one night earlier this week and we both agreed this was a good spot for exploring this part of the world. When we arrived we had to use the pay and display behind the pub but we moved the car later on the park outside the front door. We didnt have dinner but I did sample the local Wensleydale brewery beers which were excellent.Our room seemed larger than other Dales pubs we've stayed in and had all the usual facilities. Excellent full English the next morning and a 1030 checkout. The staff were very friendly and efficient. All in all a really good experience and we'd stay here again - barry m
